Hi, I’m a freelance designer and developer. I have 15 years experience specialising in responsive, accessible email and I’ve also worked on front-end web design and creating assets for social campaigns.
My life in email has been equal parts designer and developer, occasional copy-writer, and all-round technical trouble-shooter. You need to wear a lot of hats in the email biz; here’s some of my hats:
Responsive Email
Get your email to transition nicely from desktop to mobile on all the major clients
Accessibility
Build emails that are legible and easy to interact with for the widest possible audience
Design and UX
Advise on how to structure content for the best flow and impact, including A/B testing
Industry Knowledge
Keep up-to-date with the latest email design trends, client market-share, and support
Troubleshooting
Deal with most of the bugs. Email can be a little temperamental, but I’ve seen it all
Photoshop
Wrangling and re-cropping images, or even creating bespoke new visuals and icons and gifs
